thats some hella bad azz mad fleeeex yo! looks like that rear suspension is really good at hauling in the SUCKS ASS... front looks :smokin:
The rears still stock, yo! :D but it has the same old issues as all the toyotas(gas tank in the way, hard to find room for long shocks without gettin all /\ crazy, etc).

on that rig, honestly, I vote for a 63" swap, a well designed trac bar, and cantilever shock setup:smokin:

Nothing wrong with that idea, and I've pondered it a few times, but the parts are already bought for another 3 link/raised panhard rendition. Just need to head up to your place soon and grab the other axle as it's got the links on it....

Paul,
I am looking into the 1UZ for my '88 4Runner, and you are the only other build that had attempted to stuff a UZ into the same frame I have with the 4Wheel Underground kit and I have a few questions.

When you had the UZ in your rig, did you ever hook up the steering shaft or have an idea how the steering would be routed?

With the 4WU shock towers were there any other fitment issues? It appears that they are far enough apart at the spine, but could you remove the exhaust manifiolds without hoisting the engine?

I won't have to deal with any smog requirements since my vehicle is over 20yrs old, which makes this swap possible.

thanks,
RB
