Agreed, was very well put together. The show progressively got better from episode 1 to episode 2, though it all did start off very well. Danny Canada was definitly doing a great job as host. This is the start of something great.

We also closed shop to watch it.

I thought it was very professional and nicely done.

I like how they had the shocker but didnt get carried away with the rollovers and really showed some crawling.

H'mmmmm, thanks...I'm pretty stoked to actually win a contest this year...Dustin and Jody win the SkyJacker Shocker Award! The crowds go wild! Actually, Dustin's Mom goes wild as she's the only one that really cares, but hey...rollovers are just my way of saying hello to the rocks...am I blabbing here?

Alright people, give feedback to ESPN so we can boost these shows on to bigger and better things! It only takes a second but will make a real difference.

Is this guy still around?

If so, he needs to print that out on some nice thick, juicy paper, get a fork and knife and start eating those words.
 Perhaps, and I'm just saying PERHAPS, those camera people were hired, given the shirts, shot footage, put together a program and put it on ESPN. See the thing is that sometimes networks dont' actually make their own programming. There are things called "producers" who put together shows and "pitch" them to networks. If a network likes it they'll put it on TV. If they network is unsure of it but have a slot open for it, then the producers can actually purchase the airtime themselves and put it on. Now of course I have no idea what really went down, but I'm inclined to believe that ESPN themselves didn't have anything to do with making the acutal program, and thus this guy doesn't need to eat his words.

That doesn't change the fact that it IS on TV though, I just hope the american public enjoy it enough so that ESPN will pick it up :D

Well, as this guy had no clue what he was talking about in the first place and was just pushing a bad rumor to possibly stir up more hurt for UROC, he does deserve to "remember" those words. IIRC, We explained exactly what you did right after he posted that so many months ago but the basic issue was he was posting negativity to just add to the pressures already in play...I seem to remember many people getting all up in arms after he posted that and answered more than a few PM's and phone calls asking if it really was all just a hoax put on by UROC.
Even Shupee made some comment about showing his ass if ESPN didn't show but I'm not sure of the order that it all happened.
So, I find it funny that Trailkeeper remembered that!

or maybe it's true, the production company is based out of canada, and was hired to produce the show, then the airtime was bought on ESPN II for the show to run. these words were heard directly out of one of the personalities seen on UROC TV's mouth.

irr regardless who payed for it, and who actually produced it, the show kicked ass!

I know. I wasn't trying to be a negative nancy, and since the link only showed the guys post I didn't see any sort of reference or replies. As I said though its still cool it was shown, and because ESPN doesn't have much if any money wrapped up in it we need to show our support for it even more...

DSI, your ears are broken...the Host's name is Danny CANADA

Man, everybody's a comedian...even when they don't know it!

The production company is StoneGate Media based in UTAH. The producer is Andy Nicholson. They produce for whoever will pay, and this is the same for EVERY show on television...Shows on NBC are not done by NBC, they are done FOR NBC and it is part of the contract and advertising that the shows hosts have the NBC logo on them and carry a mic that says NBC on it.

UROC did the same as every other show on the planet...they found a production crew that worked at the standards of ESPN and paid them to produce the show to be aired on ESPN.

The point the guy was trying to make when he posted his comment was that they were FAKE...that there was not going to be an ESPN show. Basically he did not understand how television works but chose to comment anyway.

If you want to see the entire thread that the post was in, here it is:

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230900

Technically, he is right. When you get right down to it, the Patey's did tell some guys to run around with cameras and ESPN t-shirts. I guess our government told some teenagers to run around Iraq with guns and camo pants. When put that way, it really diminishes the scale of an operation, the amount of expertise and work that is actually involved, and makes it seem less "legit".

So, anyway, I posted that because several people today remembered that comment and were joking that they wondered how those "kids running around" managed to hijack ESPN2 today and get their show on. It's just funny how things work out.

no i'm well aware of his name, remember he was with UROC last year too...
Then I'm wondering where the "Canada" production company comment you made came from...

www.stonegatemedia.com

Utah is very much in the US...thankfully as I'd hate to cross the border to get to Moab :flipoff2:

TrailKeeper, there was a different thread that went along with that one discussing the ESPN issue and how production companies hire out to networks and cable channels. I didn't find it.
