Do you have any pics of how you did the rake on the windshield?
Sorry, I have not logged in, in a while. You don't have to do what I did. I cut 3" out of the bottom of the frame. I made the cut 15 degrees or so to get the slant.
I pulled the hinges off and ground off the upper hinge 15 degrees to allow it to lean back.

You can do the same without cutting 3"s out of window frame, but since I cut mine out there were no longer any holes to screw the hinge in. So.....I welded the hinge strait to the frame.

Still bends forward and I can still remove.

Been a while. I have been wheeling the beast and running to get groceries. I absolutely love this rig. It might be for sale after I finish the next build. I have to copy the wiring before selling. It is so reliable that I have let my friends borrow it for the last several months. Finally had a rear axle go while hammering the exit in Indy

It is nice to have several rigs to wheel. The fj suffered some carnage this past weekend while out having fun with Scott's finally completed rig. (His worked awesome)

On to the damage. Busted rear axle after two years of abuse and rentals....lol

love golf tees

I have another rear axle or two coming from Addicted Offroad here shortly

I need a stick with big magnet.. any body.. Bueller.....Bueller....

Not right at the moment. The fj is my all around rig. I run to the store down town Denver in this. I will use it during the summer while I continue to build my other buggy. The only funds applied to this guy is repairs and maintenance. No upgrades till other buggy is done.

Then I will re access my garage and vehicles and decide if I want to sell it.

With the windshield rake, do you know how far back the top of the windshield came? I am considering doing something along these lines, but I also want to keep a top on the cruiser.

Thanks
Dima

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. My grandpa painted this for my new buggy. Twisted customs fiberglass hood. He used to paint pin up girls on the bombers back in the pacific. 94 yrs old this past week.

2 Weeks ago I dumped the buggy on both sides within 15 seconds of each other. Hit my shoulder on a rock while taking a nap on the remaining sheet metal. Added some tube to the side. My fat ass will have to work harder to get in and out now.

Scott just left me for the vultures on Green Day. LOL
