wonder how many hours he got in measuring and cuting all that
He's definitely got a lot of time into it. I don't see a piece longer than about 2ft so it may have all been cutoffs that got misplaced on their way to the dumpster. If I got my hands on a pile of 1x1x3/16 cutoffs I'd sure as heck find a way to use them.

I think the design of the frame is stupid in a few places but if he's covering it in 1/4 it won't much matter. Reusing the stock bumper mounts is pretty uninspiring. For someone that can clearly do a consistent job sticking tube together you'd think he'd make beefier mounting brackets and/or make a brace to the hitch receiver.

OP had better update this if a finished pic hits FB.

It's hard to tell, but did he keep the middle section of the stock, chrome bumper just under the license plate and weld it to his uber fancy prerunner style (cough) bumper?

Needed more triangulation?
Doing a bad job welding the cast center could cause the weld there to fail as the center flexes and a marginal job everywhere else could cause the weld and/or HAZ to unzip starting at the center

I can't think of any other way to pull a truss off without involving so much force as to destroy some other part of the vehicle first.
