Thank you Brandon Monnig it was a pleasure to meet you and your wife. Travel safe with that 6x12 on the back. :)

CoreCNC Linux has just landed for testing. More on that system a little later.

Another install of a 4x8 Star-Lab with a Proton Z axis and a heavy 4" square steel frame (completely welded not bolted together).

We use hardened and ground linear profile rail like this but with a seamless top. The version we use bolt from the backside not the top. This gives your linear trucks a superior life. It is very difficult for MFGs to install that is why most use the bolt from front linear rail. But for a service life nothing beats the style we are using.

It's table time. What is the price difference between a turnkey 4x8 and 5x10 shipped to 47711? From my research it looks like you've got a better machine for the money than Torchmate. Still on the fence about software - do you have any selling points over what they offer?

I'd also need an interface cable coming from the Powermax 85 if you offer them.

Sheetcam TNG is the CAM system. It is the gold standard for plasma cutting in the sub $50,000 range. But really is much better than 100% of the older CNC Plasma CAM softwares. The tool lists, the ability to tweak features, the automation. You just cant beat Sheetcam TNG.

The CAD we send out is BOBCAD V27 with Bobart. It is good at 2D drawing. We find folks that are happy with a CAD they have usually stick with it and use Bobcad for general modification of geometry. New users take to Bobcad very well and will use it over sign software.

The interface cable is standard equipment on our machines. We will stack our machine against any machine that rapids 800 or less for accuracy and cut quality. A very high percentage of machines aren't up to the acceleration and deceleration rates we achieve with the Star-Lab. You can cut at our rapid speed and there are constant velocity settings you can change. These machines that are out now are more powerful (often 4 times more power in each drive than competitors) than ever. I will say Mach 3 is a much better and much more solid running program when used with Ethernet. We really suggest buying a pre-configured PC from us if buying a gantry kit (They are also standard on the tables and we do not charge extra for a PC).

The machines have evolved and not from a profit stand point but an operators stand point. The true linear rail, the OHMIC sensing, the hand indicated gear rack to the pitch line of the linear rail through the travel, the ballscrew and dual linear rail Z (router capable) are what machine mfgs eventually aspire to or die a dinosaur. By the time mfgs get the to point we are at they are either much more expensive or have exhausted their capabilities. We make/machine/form/weld a very high percentage of the Star-Lab machines in house and test every one of them before they go out. To us there is no comparison. I will say no bad about other mfgs of machines. This is the USA and we are all here to succeed. But the Star-Lab CNC plasma table is the top percentage of value.

I will check shipping quotes and get back with you.
