Looking for your reccomendations on tires in this size.
Rig is a daily driver/weekend warrior. I'm on a lot of different terrian, from loose sandy dirt to mud to water crossings to rocks, also driven in the winter.

I was thinking maybe a set of TSLs?

ok.. best config for a d.d. is 33x12.50
or you will have to extend the front flairs and get mud flaps for the rears..
depends on the law there for the oversized tires..
here in calif.. at least half of the tire must be covered here

my rig is borderlined with 33x12.50x15s just under half of the tires are covered.. but I get alot of spray from them also hitting back on the windshield..

I have good 'ole reliable Goodyear MT/Rs. My jeep is my DD and have got good mileage out of them. I'm running 36x12.5 15's. I run them in snow, mud, rocks and everything else.

FYI

fg
I have a set of 35 13.50 15 Baja Claws with only about 3000miles on them:smokin:

Ill take 800 for all 5 they are on black steelies

I just got a set of Pitbull Growlers for my DD and am impressed so far. Drive very well on the street and have done well in loose dirt, hard pack, mounds, and on trees. No mud to test them in yet...

I am going to post some pics and more details later today in the general section.

Yea, my buddy is running 37.5" Pitbulls on his CJ and he's pleased with them. Price isn't bad either.

Hearing lots of good about Toyo Open Country M/Ts

Check out Procomp Xterrains. I've got em on my tundra. They do pretty good in mud puddles.
Fixed for you, I know that's what you ment to say because they suck in the mud :flipoff2:

i vote for the truxus they wear great handle decent. will handle some pretty slopy stuff were m/ts suck and also work amazing in snow

I second the vote for the trxus MT. I ran them on my TJ while it was still my DD. I got about 30k out of them and they're pretty doggone good off road, I had BFG MT's before and the trxus were definitely better. I can't really recall a time that I got stuck that I can definitely say that a TSL, etc. would've gotten me through. IMHO, they're one of the best DD/weekend warrior tires available.

Also, if you're looking to keep the cost down, check out the Eldorado ZRT. I think they're made by Cooper. I ran these on my Toyota p/u and on my TJ. They're a great tire for the price, they work really well in mud. The compound is a little harder than the trxus, similar to BFG, so they're not quite as good in the rocks. I got about 35k out of them on a Toyota p/u. I think it was actually TEX who steered me toward those back on off-road.com a few years ago; I believe he used them on his tow rig.
