Very nicely done. URF and WCGIC arroved, no doubt!

You have read and learned a lot over the years on how to do this right, I can tell. As somebody who has been down this road with an XJ, it was fun watching the progression of pictures to see how you would handle certain parts of the build and if you would have to re-engineer anything along the way. It turned out very nice, nothing I would do different at all, except plate the ends of the cross member to keep mud out.

nice engineering. Hopefully the hacks at Shaeffers take a look at this and see how to build an XJ right.

Thats some really really nice work. I really liked the welds...man thats artwork. It was pretty cool to be able to see the whole build more or less from start to finish in one thread......again bro great work.

Looks great man. The only thing I can really say is that I bet you'll be regretting not doing a 60 while you were buildin it all up. I can say after putting in the 435/205/14b/d44 front, I fully regret doing a baby step with the D44. I shoulda just sucked it up and forked out for a 60. Live and learn I guess!
Not at all. Now I have something to upgrade to. :flipoff2:

:smokin: Thanks for the props. I certainly did my research ever the past year or two...or three...

It shows. I'm happy with it.

The crossmember will get capped sometime soon. I didn't have time for that before I came to school.

Damn nice work and your welding is pure sex...props to you. Give me a shout if you wanna go wheeling sometime.

Awesome fab work, but should've gone to full 1 ton, that missing 1/8th is gonna bug ya in the future.
Everyone seems to think that but right now i'm really happy with it as it sits. For 35s/37s I don't see it being an issue with the alloys. By the time I go to a bigger tire than that it'll probably be linked in the rear with a 60 up front. The wheeling I do, and the people I go wheeling with, limits the size tire I can run to the point where it probably wouldn't be any fun with anything over a 37.

Yeah I think people are forgeting you were really set on going d44/isuzu 12 bolt, but then you found the deal on the 14 bolt all the sudden. Not like you were out to build some huge beast to begin with.
Haha yep. I really wanted to keep it as legal as possible. With the addition of bushwackers it let me go a little crazy. I'm very happy with the end result for sure. Couldn't be happier skipping the Isuzu 12bolt. People seem to think the 14bff is an anchor, cause it is, in stock form. Mine slid like a dream over lots of obsticles on Sunday. My 8.25 still had a small lip that i'd get hung up on, a LOT.

That is all. 14bff or go home. :flipoff2:

I admire the fab work and attention to detail, and am jealous of the tool availability. :flipoff2:

You built a real nice upper link mount, diff cover and coil mounts, but to do all that and buy alloy shafts... for a low pinion 44. You could have bought a F250 HP44 and it would have been stock with 8 lug... not to mention the HP60.

None of that was sitting in my garage with me thinking it was a 61" wide Waggy44...

Couldve shouldve wouldve, but didn't. Doesn't matter, it works great.

Holy shit dude! It took a looong time to load all those pics, good idea with the warning for those poor suckers with 56K.

Thats some VERY nice fab work. One of the nicest XJ's I've seen for a while. Great work.

Not only is was the fabwork nice but you took your time to show pics of almost entire build up and explained what you did. Great fab work, great ideas on the skids, mounts etc, and very nice clean buildup.

Thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures and details.
