Those stock coil springs are prolly too much. I'd remount just one in the center over the axle. Then the shocks can do their job effectively and not be oversprung by both coil springs. It'll help prevent undersquat on that rear axle.

monoleaf..........triple revolver shackles..........??? I like it!!! I really liked the idea of the a/c compressor to keep the air shocks charged, but I live in AZ......so that's not an option......how much pressure does a leaf blower motor put out?:grinpimp:

I am really diggin this setup, I also noticed that those Goodyears have been on 2 rigs in threads I have looked at today. They must have caught on after I started pushin em a while ago. And bronco, for your lower link mounts why didnt you just use the old shock mounts? They are already there and you would have the double triangulation goin on. I need some of those coil buckets too if you get some time for my SAS.

rather than the zerk fittings on the shocks, what if you put a schrader valve on the shocks and pressurized them with air? I think that would solve the shock/spring issue without breaking the bank. In fact, I like this idea so much I think I'll try it myself when I get to work on my linked rear :smokin:.

I wonder if I can apply this to my boat somehow...not the flex in general, but it has a tendency to bob in the water...do you think that by remounting the engine on the stringers, using short shocks, that it will allow the motor to compensate for the roll of the waves?

some of the best ideas were sparked by others...if it works I'll patent it

Now that will never work:shaking::flipoff2:

Looking good, I have a buddy who runs a single airbag right in the center of the axle and a air shock at the end of the axle, it flexes like mad.
Keep the progress pics coming!

Flex Shots

ok, I had a little time to kill & had to move it to mow around anyways so I built an RT II ramp out of goodyear RT II tires to get some flex shots.. enjoy..:D
