DesertFab Racing decided to build a new Pro-Mod rig for Grand Nationals and 2008. I have alot of work to do in 6 weeks:eek:

The plan is to lower the engine 4" and back 3".
We are narrowing the axles 4.5" and narrowing the chassis 4". Trying to get rid of about 300LB of weight from old rig.

Here is what I got done over the weekend

Looks great. I guess you plan on sleeping after the Grands and not before? :flipoff2:

I think it's not out of the question simply because I'm making the assumption they are tearing one buggy down to make another. That makes things easier for sure.

Good luck guys! We look forward to seeing the new rig in Houston!

Yep, we are using what we can off the old rig, we are also going the min. on alot of things trying to shed as much weight as possible. The old rig was built for trail, comp, dunes ect. so it was heavy and to wide.

aggressive schedule- get to work:)

Looks good......SPEND the money to make it look like a JEEP please. You will get alot more fans if they could relate. just my .02

A JEEP! How about a Toyota! Their is too many jeeps.

I see your last post was 8/9 how are things going. I know you will be burning the midnight oil between now and Texas just ask Jody Everding. We will be there with Nick Cambell's twin cousin (Kenny) spotting for us. Looking foward to beating your ass in our old junk after our super secret modifactions. Hope you have an enclosed trailer so you can finish the car on your way to Texas. Glenn Bonner

It's going to be close, I have the fuel cell, winch, radiator, steering mounted. Will finish building the headers tomorrow. The plan is to have the chassis ready for powder coat by the end of the week.

Got some work done tonight, headers built and misc stuff. This weekend is going to be a long one. Plan on getting floor firewall and all welding done so this pile can go to powder coat the middle of next week.
