Dual Case Install, transmission output seal?

We are going to be installing a TG 21 spline dual case adapter on Saturday and I am getting the adapter setup from a buddy that already had it installed, but not run. Is it necessary to replace the transmission output seal. Asking because he didn't pull it from his transmission. If necessary, is it a standard Toyota part or is it special part? Transmission is a W56 in an 87 4 Runner.

When I got my doubler from Marlin, I asked them. They told me they just toss it in each order, to be a nice guy. If you have it, why not repalce it? Its simple to do...

Change it now or wish you did when you pull the T-cases later. If you are smart you will get it from the dealer. That is what Marlin recommends I have no Idea what TG does, call them.

Talked with the local dealer for about 15 minutes trying to find the correct seal on their drawings, and this was with there head parts guy, I'll see what he has come up with, thanks.
