I need a few individuals to fill in some gaps. I can't believe what Sears wants for their basic wrenches sold individually. Pretty much $8 to $12 each.

Anyone got good suggestions?? Autozone is even more proud of their Duralast stuff. The Great Neck stuff is more reasonably priced and that might be my last resort.

Quality doesn't have to be high, but also not incredibly low.

I needed a 1 1/8 wrench for one job, blew my mind how much places wanted for one. It actually wound up being cheaper for me to buy the HF 3/8 to 1 1/4 wrench set to get the 1 1/8 than to buy just the 1 1/8.

But the way I look at it is now I have a wrench set to leave in my truck and not have to worry about shelling out better than $150 if they go missing.

i bought the HF pittsburgh pollished set 3/8 to 1 3/8 I believe just for the larger sizes had it for a couple years used the hell out of em, only complaing is that my 3/8 has opened up to a 7/16 over time, but for like $20 I cant complain one bit, not to mention I have used on on some pretty tight stuff and put lots of pressure to em.

If you need a few wrenches to fill in a gap or missing, try pawn shops.

Northern was the way to go. Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize they even sold individual wrenches. Their prices were much more reasonable than individual Craftsman, more around $3 to $6 per wrench (I didn't need anything larger than 7/8)

I searched around eBay, mostly found other things during my searches that I shouldn't be spending money on. Didn't find any screaming deals on individual Craftsman, and ya really gotta watch the shipping charges of course.

I didn't even know Northern Hydraulics sold wrenches.
They haven't called themselves Northern Hydraulics for approx 5 years (guessing). They're Northern Tool & Equipment, altho even before the name change they sold pretty much everything they sell now.

When I look for a single tool I need, I try to find it in a "lot" (not "a lot") of tools being sold on ebay. I take the piece I want, and list the rest individually again.

I made money getting my 1/2" snap on ratchet, and broke even (IIRC) on my snap on 3/8" ratchet.

I've done this with several things, I usually make all the money back, and sometimes even come out ahead.:smokin:
