Fat City/RBS 4 seat liberty Buggy SoCa.

$21,750.00
Menifee California, Riverside County

This is the car that inspired the King of the Hammers race. I built this car with the help of Fat City Ryan, Scott from Rock Buggy Supply, Danny Grimes, and a few other great friends 3 and a half years ago to do all sorts of offroading.

This 1965 Jeep is currently registered and insured in California as a smog exempt vehicle. It has been to Moab a number of times, the Hammers more times then I can count, many other trails around the United states and a 10 day trip to the 2006 Baja 1000 thats was covered in the 2007 book by Alex Gauthier "Baja Libre". The car has been featured in a 8 page article on the Baja trip in the Feb. 2007 Crawl magazine article of the same name, as well as a 7 page feature in the April 2006 Crawl magazine called "trail tough Family fit". It has been in countless other magazines over the 3 and half years, and continues to turn heads at car shows and offroading events. I have used this car to prerun for the Jeepspeed series, Alan Pfluegers Trophy truck team, and most recently the mapping for King of the Hammers.

With a good prep job this car would be a great choice for King of the Hammers 2009.

I am not interested in parting it out.

Extensive alumn tin work Complete floor and fire wall as well as inner rear fenders

I have wheeled every trail in Moab with the wife and Kids and tons of gear on board. Bottom line you can wheel this car any where, with plenty of gear and the family. From pre running to crawling it will do it all.

The car is California registered, and smog exempt. You will not find any other buggy like this. Not a this price. I have 3 times the sale price into it at least.

Im sure I am missing a lot.

The down sides;
The front dif cover leaks
If you over fill the front diff the inner axle will leak gear oil on the drivers side
It has a small oil leak at the back of the motor
The Power steering needs a cooler
The paint is starting to get kinda beat up
It could use a really good prep job, I would change the rear wheel bearings, and the Hiem joints on the rear suspension before I went back down to baja or raced in in KOH, but they are still ok for a couple of local runs I am sure.

I did a complete prep of the car including a trans service at Culhanes before the Baja trip. It gets brought into the shop after every trip and inspected. I have never abused this car, ever. It has been rolled over one time, by Scott Parker during the 2006 Crawl photo shoot. For a 3 year old crawler it is in great shape.

I am motivated to sell this car, and I believe the price is a reflection of this. Feel free to make offers, I won't get offended as long as you don't if I turn you down.

You can reach me via PM, or my email knoll1706@yahoo.com

I will be updating the thread with pictures and what not as I locate them.

I will post more pictures soon. Just waiting for the wife to down load them. Funny, I have very few pictures of this rig, as after nearly 20 years of wheeling my wife got sick of taking pictures of my jeeps.:D Maybe some one out there has action shots?

Ok heres the dealio,
I have 5 interested parties. I'm going to start calling everyone tonight and make arangements, for someone to take this home. My emails are a little confusing because I have recieved both PM's and Emails, and I have to cross check names. I came up with 5. That said If you do not get a call from me, Email your phone number to me ASAP. I have replied to all request as far as I know. I am sorry If I missed anyone. I work some crazy hours so I have 3:00 am on the web for about 15 minutes and then after 5:30-6:00 on most days.

Thanks for all the interest.

Jeff

Jeff, I love the buggy, however I have no need for it (or funds)

I do have a few questions if you don't mind. How wide is the buggy at the B pillar and where are the rear fenders from and what are they for? (They look awesome)
