Yes I rolled it 3 times . im fine and so is frank. we were tuning the bypass shocks in the whoops that day at 40-65mph and were fine tuning them to get the rebound just right. frank an I felt pretty good with the suspension set up and went for some hot laps to get the buggy up to speeds which were very impressive . we got to a lake bed and tryed to top out on speed but didnt have enough room so we tryed some mild whoops that were closer together an the right rear bypass packed up and pitched us end over end a couple time. Frank and I werent hurt at all just banged up a little. the buggy had 2 tubes replaced in the back when we got to the fab school . we wrecked on tuesday afternoon and we were back testing wednesday morning. thanks to troy and all the guys that helped us out. if you have any questions just ask dont speculate or believe any rumors you heard. some were very interesting. dan has a few pictures of the buggy at the lake bed so he will be posting up some.

Most importantly, glad to hear everyone is okay. Stuff and parts can be replaced. I hadn't checked back in the thread for pics, so the last time I saw the buggy was Fabstock. It's badass, top quality work guys.

awesome that it worked good. i was wondering what happened to you guys, never heard anything about nicole's race. whata happened to the unit bearing, blow apart?
Lost the unit bearing at aftershock. Frank made the ~1.5 mile hike to the remote BFG pit where we were waiting (had radio problems and could not communicate directly to them) to retrieve the parts and necessary tools, made the ~1.5 mile hike BACK to the car, got it repaired and back on the trail but missed the checkpoint by 12 minutes. Hats off to Frank.

damn, i really wanted to see how this thing was gonna finish! glad to hear it was minimal damage and that everything came out ok in the end, wish it didnt end like it did!

and get us more completed pics!

Is there anything that you didn't like about the car? It seemed like Dan had every little fit and finish detail covered before he even started building it.
Nope. Everything was very well thought out and very comfortable. How about I tell you what I liked the most... the horsepower! :grinpimp: To be honest, I was a bit leary about handling THAT much motor, and early on I kept telling Dan that I really didn't need all that power. So, this whole time, they've kept the real specs on the car from me so I wouldn't be too overwhelmed. But I kid you not, getting in that car was the most fun ever! I was so pleased with how it performed in the desert... I passed anyone who got in my way! :D

enough HP to get 2mpg and run out of fuel right :grinpimp:

just busting some chops but it was an awesome vehicle up close. Congrats
what you forgot to mention was that it hauled ass until it ran out of fuel. but the reason for running out of fuel had something to do with not shifting out of 2nd gear for 42 miles. next year it will have a bigger tank for sure. the hp is quite a bit more than you would want but my opinion there is no replacement for displacement. right? its scary fast for a buggy, nicole has a sack if you know what i mean to get in and drive it like she stole it from the starting gate. I think a little more R&D we would have been a bigger threat.

...So you running this buggy next year then? Just make a few changes instead of starting completely over?

havent really desided on what we are going to do with the buggy as of yet but im sure it will be around. unsure of who will drive it. there are a few changes that we will make before we bring it back out.
