Yeah I know it kills me knowing I can't run them.
They're 10" wide (fawking hate wide wheels), they're cracking around the lugs (sketchy especially when on a heavy Cummins truck that will get wheeled and tow), and lug nuts are impossible to find for them (and I'm missing 8).
I would be stoked to find another set in 8" wide in good shape that i could internal bead lock but these things are too hard to find.
Just going to have to kiss them goodbye

I've got slot mags on my early bronco and haven't had much trouble finding lug nuts, most places don't stock them but can order them in a day or so.

I agree with the slots looking "right" for that truck, if it was me I might consider hanging on to them for street use and get a set of swampers and beadlocks for wheeling.

Can't use your typical mag lug nuts. I've been to every tire shop in the area and they all tried their best to find a similiar lug nut on the computer or in the books... nothin'. I'm sure they are out there somewhere but finding them seems impossible.

I thought about keeping this wheel set for the street and finding some other tires to throw on my steelies for the trail... we shall see!

Got a pic with measurements of what you need?

I have 3 mag slotsI would be willing to sell.I had a full set, but one developed a hairline crack and it now leaks air. The other 3 are in good shape. I will throw in the lug nuts too. I would just like to get my money back out of them. $50 each if you are interested. I can send you a pic if you want.

Brewchief I had all the measurements written down but I've forgotten what they were, I'll mic a lug nut again just for kicks.

AllGoNoShow, how wide are they? 10? Where's the hairline crack? I work at a welding shop, most likely it could be good as new again.Shoot me a pic if you can

Not a typical duplex lug nut. Trust me these are some weird lug nuts (dimension and style) and not the same as a typical magnesium wheel lug nut should be.

Hp d44

Nice lookin D44. I have been gathering parts to swap an HP into my '71 F250 for a few years now. I just need the high steer parts and we'll be ready to fly.

I like the Auto tranny too. Turbos and Autos work well together. If the Auto is built to handle the power it should be quicker and more efficient accelerating.

Thanks, and yeah that's what i'm hoping!

Still find a hood and do the body work/paint on that, as well as spray the back of the cab and then the roof white. Then color sand and buff the whole thing.

Man that looks nice n' shiny! :grinpimp:

The damn doors on mine were so bent up from having the fenders pushed back into them that it took me for-freaking-ever to get them even half-assed straight! The textured bed-liner I used to paint it covered up all the little dings though. Mine were a real bitch to get lined back up correctly so the doors would close right. Hopefully your's won't be so bad seeing as how it's in pretty straight condition. I got my 69 from a farmer that let his sons drive it around chasing cattle. I swear there probably wasn't a corner post on the entire farm that they didn't hit in that poor old thing. :(

I remember having some difficulty finding lug nuts when I was doing my 69' Ford Crew Cab/Cummins build... I have the 16.5 x 10 slot mags (for sale) and I found Gorilla nuts that worked with my 9/16" (I went larger) studs.

Did a little searching for the part number I used.... 306-5088-4 They have a 1.00" shank length x .740 diameter, if that helps and they come with washers.
And nice job on the build up!

:D

I think those may be the lug nuts, but missing the outer sleeve piece.
How much would ya want for those slots? And do you still have the lug nuts?

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I decided to keep them and see if I can find a single to make a matching set. What is the shank diamter that you need for the lugnuts?

Edit...The link that was posted above is for a 9/16'' studs. Your highboy should have 1/2'' studs unless you changed them, right?

I think this is what you should need. Cheaper than Jegs too. Here is some for 1/2'' studs.

If you have 9/16'' one of these should work.

I had to use the duallies on mine.

You can buy the washers here.

Dragged it out of the sideyard and started it up for the first time in a year. Fired right up! I'm busting ass on it again to hopefully drive it again in 2 months.
