For the sake of information, what is different between these and factory to make them qualify as Upgraded? This would be going into an '89 system.

 

these injectors have a better spray pattern. the better the spray pattern (within limits), the happier your engine is. your engine runs on fuel vapor, not fuel droplets. the closer to vapor itself that you give your engine, the better it runs.

the supplied adaptors will allow you to use them on a 88. i just found that out.

 

Upgraded stock flow ones are cool and I'm sure it makes a difference, even if its a small difference.

My question for you is whether you provide higher flow rate direct fit injectors for something like a turbo upgrade or the like. I've been thinking about doing a turbo now that i have a Megasquirt setup, so having a reputable and experience vendor to get the right injectors from would make it all the easier.

I'm glad you got the right star and that all the initial flaming didn't scare you away.

 

A better spray pattern alone can give big improvements since the fuel can better atomize just prior to combustion.

i will be offering stage 1 (210cc) and stage 2 (256cc) upgrade injectors for the 22RE within the next month. when i get them available, it will be the same deal. free sets for established members to properly review and give an honest write-up.

as far as the problems and flaming, i totally understand. i was having paypal problems with 'pending payments' and other nonsense. i finally had to have all of the payments cancelled and do them all over again. what a pain.

I put a set of these in a friends 1990 4runner 22re several weeks ago. So far his response is that it runs smoother, has more power and in his words getting phenomenal mileage. Not sure what phenomenal mileage is but he seems very happy with the result. I was a little skeptical when putting them in since the injector resistance values are different but all seems well, engine goes into fuel control, no check engine light,etc. So far seems to be well worth the money.

 

I got pm on this so look for a review when I get them.

If these injectors get enough positive reviews put me down for some then too. My 22RE can always use more power. Even though in the power department. Destroying all the 22re's in my area in little street drags and keeping up with 3vze no problem.
