So, I have a 1989 K5 Blazer/Jimmy, and I'm trying to swap from an Automatic to Manual (SM465 with a NP205 T-Case, real solid setup), but I cannot for the life of me find the stock pedal assembly for it, and I can't even use any of the aftermarket pedals, like a Wilwood, because of the slope where your feet rest. (The pedal would hit the floor before reaching full push.)

I'm completely out of luck, anyone experience the same issues, and if so, what did you do?

I think Bowler makes a pedal kit.

I have been looking and the entry point for used parts starts around $400...

Lucky for you your 89 is square. Blazer, Suburban, and K30 are square till 91.

Good to know they can be modified.

It's tough tracking one down. Time is money, I'm fine with the Bowler piece bit havent found much online for reviews.

What needs to be done to make it work with hydroboost?

What a pain in the butt. My CUCV has a TH400 which aside from being bulletproof sucks. Really want to do an NV4500 but to do it with reman stuff I'm in over $3k plus finding this uber rare pedal assembly.

Going with a 4L80 is fairly cheap but the ratios leave a lot to be desired and stepping up to a 6L80 is probably making something that is dirt simple to be overly complicated.

Looks like im searching for a pedal bracket [emoji41]

The only aftermarket set that I have seen is made by Bowler. Other than that, I have not found any aftermarket kits that are direct fit or factory reproductions.

I have only found used kits on Ebay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace. Most of them in my area are pretty ratty, and you will be lucky to find a hydraulic version instead of the old bell crank.

I am a few months away from doing a manual swap but if I go to the route with the Bowler kit, I will do a write-up as there doesn't seem to be any thing available for information other than the website it is sold on.

So just thought I would add what i did when i converted my 88 crew cab from auto to an nv4500. Couldnt find the clutch pedal assembly. So I took the clutch pedal assembly from the same truck I got my nv4500 out of. 95 chev 1 ton. It took some time but after figuring where it needed to be i drilled my holes and mounted it. Had to build a spacer to fit underneath it to connect it solid near my column. Also had to heat the pedal rod and bend it to to match the contour of the floor pan. It made it easy to connect hydraulic clutch lines since they were stock for the 95. All in all took me a few hours of tinkering, but i am happy with the out come. I also trimmed my auto brake pedal to match the brake pedal from a clutch pedal assembly. Wouldnt hesitate to it again. Works great if you are willing to take the time to figure it out.

I did have to cut the assembly down. The 95 was too wide to fit where i wanted it. I took some material off one drivers side. And trimmed the other side completly off and welded a flatbar into its place. Leaving the original clutch cylinder holes in tact.
Glad you figured it out just starting my swap how do you like the nv4500?
