Saw this and though it was cool. Sure it's ugly, but a new grill, some tube front fenders and boatsides and it wouldn't look too bad. Maybe I just like it because my last rig was a re-bodied, toyota chassied, smog exempt street legal crawler.

Heck, I might even go look at it myself.

Cut and paste in case it dissapears.

Alright people ..I never thought I'd go thru with this but here it is ..
I got my ALL CUSTOM Toyota Jeep 4X4
Shes got a story behind her and I want some one with appreciation to buy her.
It was a Toyota pickup truck ..1985... my step dad bought it still new in about 1995
Back in 2001 he put a brand new motor in it, i mean BRAND NEW straight from the dealer
Thats why in 2002 when my step brother rolled it in Bishop, he was determined to re-build it.
What my step dad & step brother did was buy an old jeep body ..1990... and created this masterpiece
Its still got ALL Toyota under the hood so its easy to work on & super cheap parts
At first it was just an offroading toy, does soo good in Glamis
But eventually we got her all registered, it is considered a 2002 SPECIALTY VEHICLE
And get this ..its SMOG EXEMPT!! Thats right ..NEVER HAVE TO SMOG IT ...EVER
Tags good till January 2013!
4 CYLINDER ..great gas mileage
5-speed manual ..and 4 wheel drive

Besides that ..
6in Lift Kit
Still New Monster Tires
New Stereo System
Custom Plates ..JEPOTA
There is so much more added to this thing, U gotta check it out!
It comes with several Trophies she's won in car shows
Over the past month Ive replaced every little thing ..valve cover gasket ..spark plugs ..distributer & gasket ..rear main seal ..all main hoses
This baby is ready to go, she runs flawlessly, bring your mechanic! He'll even be impressed
I wish i could keep my Jeep I really do but its time for something a lil less show-offy, more conservative
Please dont lowball me it wont be hard for me to say no. 951-368-8324 I might be willing to trade lemme kno what you got.

That thing is horribly ugly..

So much hate!

Some people like open cars. If it were a long wheelbase Jeep people would be all over it. Asking price is comparable to other stock Toyota 4x4's around here. I wouldn't pay quite that much for it, but what he's asking isn't completely out of line. Smog exemption saves a lot of hassles and $300-$500 for a fake smog. Any of the popular Toyota engine swaps would be no problem 3rz, 3.4, 4.3. Put a Jeep grill in it, lower the body or re-do the sliders so it doesn't look so tall and it'd look fine. There are a couple of Jeep body swaps on Toyota chassis on this site already.

I went deep water fishing for salmon, off the coast of Washington. Left Neah Bay, on a diesel boat. Had too much to drink the night before. Once we started trolling, in about 10 foot swells, the diesel exhaust would waft over the boat. Bobbing up, and down, and up, and down. With diesel exhaust drifting over.

I just barfed up a little of that bile, when I saw this Toyota-Jeep hybrid.

Calling peps names is asshat, KOOK, buttlickers, 7 ruffled feathers :D

& I'll keep on wheeling it until it breaks (like I have all these yrs): the same trails, the same lines & the same rocks as everyone else here in San Diego: Bronco Peak, Connector, Hammers, Superstition & 250-300 mile preruns in Baja driving away laughing... When it does break I'll slap that 8.8 in.

4cyl not 6cyl
33's not 35's
4.56's not 4.88's or higher
My tires aren't flying anywhere (c-clip eliminator) hence chrome moly shafts
:flipoff2:

again this thread isn't about me but YOUR making it... :homer:

That is a stock toyota truck with shit suspension / tires and THE ugliest ****ification of a jeep body I have ever seen. Look closely at the front fenders and the front of the hood. I dont even think a body shop could fix the ugly on that thing. In today's economy that is a 1K truck, and I would pass on it at that.

Peps is a Jeep guy and I think he might kick you outta the club if you buy that thing. :flipoff2:

Where'd bishop come from?

It doesn't have to be smogged because it is registered as special construction. From what I'm told, DMV only gives out 500 special construction titles per year. The hot rod guys line up at the DMV offices on the first of Jan each year to get one.
