So I am looking at getting an Rc crawler just want a beginner level unit. Something to play around with on the trails or in the back yard. I have been looking at the Integrity AFA01 they seem to be a fairly decent unit. and they are fairly inexpensive. especially on ebay. Just want your thoughts and opinions.

here's what I am looking at.

thanks for the link. I really like mine in fact I finally got tires of the tires rubbing the body so I trimmed it a bit and then lowered it. I agree looks a lot better I feel it's a quality piece of equipment. my biggest gripe with it is that I haven't bought a quick charger for it so it's 30 mins of play for a few hours of charge kinda sucks.

what's the wiring upgrade and where do i get it.

what gear ratios would you recomend?

Wiring upgrade i read on RC crawler.. It is just running the front and rear Yello/Blue wires from each seprate motor together.. So both motors come toghether then meeet at the ESC and the ESC is wired together also...Makes the 2 motors run smoother.. Connect Sometimes the ESC glitches..

stock Gears are fine, they only offer lower gears..

I bought some Bandbot motors and i'll let you know how they work should be faster and only cost 4$$ per motor...

Tires are the big thing to make these things work better.. Look for some white rover tires.. I picked up a full set for 24$ shipped...

Is this redcat a good buy Im always seein them on ebay for $150-160 and I have no plans to get into any kind of competition just something to play around with in the campground or in the yard while my rig is down.

Also are there any alternative bodies to kinda make it look like a truck.

I noticed that you trimmed the battery tray and moved it up to run a flat pack how did you do it I want to put a bigger battery in it but can't find one larger in the style we run. also would help with the chassis cating on everything. let me know. thanks

as far as them being a good deal i think so i love mine

I cheated and went lipo now.. i attach the batteries to the front axle and
Cleaned up the bottom plate to look better..

Crawls great but lipos took out the ESc and i steped up to a castle sidewinder ESC.. now running 11 v. WOW it is on crack.. But 65$ ESC and a 30$ lipo..

To stay cheep I would just keep the 7.2v and have fun.. It crawled fine at 7.2..

Made some bent links out of just solid rod. 2...

i have thought about moving the battery to the top of the chassis and cutting it off like you did then running a stick style 7.2v.

oh btw I love the bent links I had looked at some axial bent links and thought about maybe using them.

also some one had mentioned somethin about tires I know my don't bite as good as I'd like them to they seem to spin alot. what is a good sticky tire?

The wiring is just connect the 2 positives wires and the 2 negatives then connect them to the ECS wires... Helps with even current draw a little..

Then white rovers were from CRKC i belive.. In AZ..

Softer springs dirrect from Redcat
