My TJ started making a creaking noise when I press on the clutch and let it back up. It sort of sounds like the video on the link below. I was going to try what the one person said about taking off the starter and the slave cylinder and greasing inside of there with some white lithium. My question is can I just unbolt the slave cylinder grease everything and bolt it back up, or dose it need to be bled or is it more involved then just that. If anyone else has any suggestions as to what it could be let me know. Lastly it does this whether the jeep is on or not. Here is the link too….

Thanks,

Your link didn’t work.. yes you can remove the slave cylinder without having to bleed it but trying to put lithium threw the boot on the cupped areas of the fork will be fun

Ok so its mounted externally that makes it easier to grease one end and the spring but the forked end that holds the throw out barring

What base were at travis
