Everyone,
Kyle wanted me to post up some potential B and C class changes for 2013 and get some feedback.
The B and C classes will be combined. All safety rules will be in effect and enforced. Safety rules will not change.
The class will be mostly open with a couple major exceptions:
1- Engine must be stock or have been the same engine that was available in that year vehicle. ie- A Grand Cherokee that came from the factory with a V8 can remove the original V8 and replace it with a V8 out of the same make and model.
2- There is a $2500 limit on any and and all mods. ie- you can run any axles you want as long as they did not cost you more then $2500. Shocks - you can run any shocks you want as long as they do not cost then $2500.
3- 37 inch max tire size.
Axles and shocks you ask? Is that one set of shocks or all 4? Is that one axle or both? To be honest, I don't remember and I didn't seem to write that part down in my notes so I will find out.
What if you have begun building and have already exceeded the $2500 limit on a component or series of components you ask? An exception may be made. Send me an email and let me know what you have and I will take it to the authorities for discussion and approval.
So you could keep building to the KOH Mod class rules and still run the proposed TREC B class too. As long as you keep within the $2500 rule.
Post up some thoughts and let us know what you think.
