I have yukon shafts and joints in my d44. They have only been in for about 3 trips, but so far so good. Not sure what kind of jeep you have or what engine, but I would guess my trooper is a good bit heavier and it has decent torque so I would imagine either of the shafts and joints you are looking at would fair prett well.

Yukon gets their axles from about 4 different companies. I currently am running yukon axles that were made by dutchman I was told. I am running a healthy smallblock chevy, atlas, and 35 inch krawlers. I beat the shit out of my front end and have never had a bit of touble with my yukon axles or super joints. O ya they are dana 44s out of a scout. I normally broke a spicer joint or outer every other trip. Yukon has some good stuff

I will never again buy Yukon shafts, I think my next step is Alloy USA. The craftsmanship of the machining sucks ass on the Yukon alloy 44 shafts. I had to "remachine" the splines to get them in the sidegears on the long side and had to grind down the crappy casting marks on the yoke part just to get them to go through the knuckle. The yokes were not even close to being even, friggen bigger on one side than the other. No symetry. Crappy splines.

I have the JE Reel Alloy Cryo joints. I'm happy so far. I run a beefed up 360 on propane, with a front 44 and 38 inch TSL's.

This debate has been going on for a while now. I had a set of yukon shafts in the dana 35 in my tj (thats right, a d35:eek: ). I beat the piss out of it both on and off road with 35" mtr's and they never gave up. Thing hit so hard from the extra slop in the detroit that I could pull the front tires off the ground when shifting into second at full throttle, that should definately have broke somethin.

Superior has rolled splines, Not cut like yukon and alloy. Out of the three I would run superior or alloy. I have superior and have not had a problem with the axles at all. I dont really think you need to read a discussion about why superior and alloy are better the yukon, Just look for all the break threads on yukon and you wont need to see a discussion as to why there are better. In this case you will get what you pay for. I belive that you can get a set of alloys a little less than superior, But they are both great companies.

Alloy USA has gotten tossed into the mix - so I guess tossing Warn in too wouldn't hurt. :D

I run Warn shafts & CTM's in my junk and have been happy with this mix so far. I got this stuff foolishly cheap & still new, so costs for me were ~1/3 of what they normally would have been, which helped.

Hell, if I didn't break them trying to get them out after he installed them wrong, they should be ok on his scout. :D:laughing:
If you are serious about him installing them (300M joints) wrong, can you tell me how you could install them wrong? I ask because my passenger side was tighter than shit when I first put it in. I had to add grease 2 times while out on the first run because it was making noise.
They are working great now. I just grease them up before every trip.
