They hold the rig up like a conventional air shock but then have a nitrogen charge on the bottom side of the shock to try to compress the shock all the time and that along with the valving prevents the rig from wanting to push over like a conventional spring or airshock would.

i looked into them for the last hour and a half and now i want them..... shit!

what size did you get? st or dp3? and how much was your size?

Mine are 16" STs. PM Blacksheep on here that sells them. I think there was a price change right after I order mine. He was great to deal with on the order and will order a pair for my front from him this summer.

It's been low on priority list but plan on doing shortly.

A price change in which direction? I've wanted a set for a while now.... Kudos to you for ordering a set, what was your lead time?
They were to go up a few bucks right after I ordered. SSYork ordered some recently and they were more but not bad. Lead time was like 5 months but they are in their new factory so should be a lot faster now. Definitely PM Blacksheep and he will get you squared away.

thanks I had heard that they were going to go to a factory soon and I was hoping that it would decrease lead time and lower prices is a bit... my one big drawback to oris is the lead time.... There is no way I can know what I need 5 months in advance lol... I am getting ready to rebuild my jeep soon and would like to do it with these... what info did you have when ordering yours?

I just had to put a few bucks down unless I wanted some exotic color. I knew what I wanted already but i could have waited till mine were up to be made to give final specs.
That's what I have heard, is it true they valve them for the amount of shaft you want at ride height?

Yeah they have a "sweet spot" for ride height. Mine are the standard ones for 8" shaft on he 16" shock. I think thy have a couple of inches either way but I you wanna run say 4" of chrome on a 16" they change he tube length onside the shock.
Awesome, thanks for the info... I can't wait to order a set!

The DPs are a year out right now blacksheep said the other day on his thread. The sts are 3 months out now. They can change the tube length to get different amounts of shafts showing, like mine are 16's and are going to have 7" showing at ride. Also you can take some oil out or add to get a different "sweet spot" according to blacksheep. He has answered a handful of questions very quickly and very informatively. Really knows his stuff on the ori's. Less than a month for me! Hopefully!

Have you driven on the ori's yet? Do they fade at all? I should have mine in a month or less so im just trying to figure out what to expect so im not pissed if they arent exactly what i thought they would be.

So far ORIs are awesome. Played baja truck some yesterday and seemed to handle it no problem. Also got to try out new steering. The belt spit off a few times but found it had a tare in it so threw a spare on and kept going great till broke the flange end of the front CV in the driveline.
