It's a 1965 109". It was all original when I got it. Now it has a 3.4 diesel and 4speed out of a LandCruiser, dual E-locked 80Series axles, Bilstein 5125's, rear springs up front, SOA and sitting on 33" Km2's.

At the moment I'm collecting the parts for a PAS conversion and highsteer using HellFire fabworks knuckles and arms, Ruffstuffs Heims and 1.5" dom tube, P38 pasbox and defender steering column.
When this is fitted it's time for some 35-12.5 Creepies on beadlock rims.. No point fitting them now, wouldn't be able to turn the steering wheel.....

'96 300TDi Discovery - bought just over 2 years ago, ran it standard for a year, then got the bug... Aim is to improve its off-road capability, while retaining enough on-road capability to keep it road-legal.

Just after purchase:

A 2" lift kit and a set of 275/65/16 tyres on steel modulars followed:

Been taking it out trialling with the local 4x4 club:

And of course it's great in the winter!

Took it off the road 9 months ago, to tend to a borked rear diff, and some chassis rot. Double-cranked trailing arms, winch bumper (winch still to be sourced!) and new box-section sills also fitted...
Rebuilt rear axle:

And rear suspension overhauled:

New front body mounts manufactured (old ones dissolved to nothing!)

And new front sill-to-body mounts:

And finally back on the road, MOT'd and taxed!

Still running open diffs, plans for 2012 include a rear locker, and bobtail/pickup conversion. Going to be a drivable work in progress!
