Yes, the metal fenders and flares are molds for fiberglass. The idea is to make it look as much like a Poison Spyder JK as possible. A body is required for the Modified class and I'd hate to pass the rest of tech with our cheater car :grinpimp: and then fail because it didn't look like a Jeep.

I may have missed it in the thread, but are you guys selling the JK hood/cowl, and if so could I pick one up at KOH to save shipping?

The build looks :smokin:
We might be able to do that. Let me work on getting some pricing, and confirm whether I can get another set done in time to bring them to KOH. Note that these are the same dimensions as stock JK parts, except 8" narrower.

Are the fenders a mold for glass?
:D

To offset the weight of the "frame rails" duh!!!
Don't forget the boat rudder. Since it handles like a yacht we needed extra protection on the corners :flipoff2:

That would be PERFECT. I was trying to go with a 5 slot grille and that seems to fit perfect.
Thanks.

Good work BARK but I am not asking about the flare. :shaking:
I was refering to the split piece of tube that sits over the chassis bar. Is that just going to be held on with a hose clamp?

Bedsides look great!
Jake
Thanks Jake. Yes the brackets for the front fenders will be held on with hose clamps. They'll be easy to repair when I smach 'em.

bedsides are gonna look great! Too bad they are going to get destroyed in the race :)
Thanks and Yep, we're considering the body is a consumable.

Looking great. Can't wait to see how you guys do with it. Looks like it should do very well this year.

Dan
Thanks Dan. We had it out yesterday and finally got some miles on it. Other than a couple of mis-matched hoses and fittings it worked well. We're finishing the body, then final prep and we're back out on Thursday. (hopefully)
Are you coming out?
