My LTFT were insanely high 25%, and I redid my exhaust headers and now they are running around 2%. PCM was seeing a lean condition due to air being sucked in through leaks and causing fuel to be dumped.

What are you guys that have made your own motor mounts going about deciding where to put them exactly? I have all the steel in need for my mounts just looking for some advice or reference on where to place them on the jeep frame.

Thanks

I have a chance to get a free oil pan off of an 08 Pontiac GXP the question is does anyone know if the pan will fit my LQ9? Of course i would use the pickup and windage tray.
In case anyone wants to know the Fwd ASM-5.3L LS4 Oil pan will fit an lq9 and it is pretty low profile. If I had to buy one I woulda went corvette oil pan, but I got this one free so im rolling with it.:smokin:

Throttle body for an 04 silverado 2500 LQ4. The plug is fine, it just broke the plug part of the throttle body.
I have a drive-by-wire throttle body from a 5.3. Not sure if they are the same as the 6.0 or not. If it will in fact work for you, shoot me an offer and it's yours!

test fit the starter. the ls4 starter comes in from the trans side . it might be a tight fit. but i never tried one.
It should fit as its really no wider then a truck longitudinal pan. I would be more worried about oil control though mounting it facing fwd might have an adverse effect.

I've got a question … and despite hours of searching I can't figure it out, yada yada :flipoff2:

I've swapped a 05-06 Jeep Tank and Pump into my Jeep as it puts out the required 60 PSI that my new engine (2002 LQ4) will need.

Essentially the 05-06 tanks have:
- One filler/inlet tube
- One Roll over valve with one barb exiting it,
- A charcoal/vent valve, this "fitting" has two barbs exiting it as well as a 5/8" line/barb.

The 05-06 Jeeps are a RETURNLESS system meaning there is no provision for a fuel return line where as my 2002 6.0 engine does have a return.

So here is my issue, how best to return my fuel to the tank?

1. The two vent lines and rollover valve, will tie into the "vent/breather" on the filler neck to help with filling and act as a vent itself,
2. Fuel Return - 5/8" barb on the charcoal/vent? … Do you think I can RETURN fuel into this barb? If not, do you think I can simply CAP it off?

I figured WORST case I would drill a hole in the tank for a bulkhead fitting and route my return there …

Perhaps this tank needs backpressure to function properly?

Item #5 in the below pic is the 5/8" barb I am considering using as a return ... or capping if you think it's a one-way valve or won't work..

I have done both the bulkhead in the tank for a return, and just blocked off the return on the fuel rail. The FPR will maintain the appropriate pressure at the rail, just as it did in the returnless jeep fuel system

Apparently I had a bolt on the firewall that wasn't trimmed back far enough and broke the connector on my DBW throttle body. Does anyone have one for an LQ4 they aren't using?
good job! i might have one at work. i will look tue.

The number on it is 1257080. They run $120-300 on eBay, I'd really like not to spend that much if possible. Let me know if yours is the same part number please. Thanks again.
