I'm pretty sure his max speed is going to be 152mph.
I was thinking more like 150 flat because 8217 RPM might be pushing the motor too hard to do 152.

great build up...i just spent 5 hours reading the whole thing, while my girlfriend was lying next to me in my bed trying to seduce me the entire time. I think i have my priorities straight. It only took me 7 beers, 3 cigs, 4 bathroom breaks and 3 dips to get through it. Btw we almost broke up because of it, so i kicked her out! Keep up the great work!

Is the audience confused? This particular thread is my, now year-long, buildup project. The 4Runner was my first new vehicle. I proposed to my wife in it, I brought my babies home from the hospital in it. So I will take detours now and then to include other aspects of my life that affect the overall project and the way that I will use the vehicle in the end.
The thread is also a little bit about me. If that confuses you than don't open the thread.
If you want to read through a buildup project (a competition vehicle or rolling advertisement for a vendor) that includes no extraneous information or gratuitous pictures of babies, '55 Chevys or Featherlite trailers then there are plenty of others to choose from.
Hey 4Mogger I Just spent 4 hours Reading this Tread Front to back.... I Got to Say, For a Man that holds down a Fulltime Job, a Fulltime Family, & a Fulltime Hobby your doing a Great Job! Congrats on the new baby she should be about 8 months old today.
As for the rest of the other guys, Pay no attention to their wines, they’re just pushing your Buttons to Try to get you all worked up. What for?
Only BC some of them don’t have their own RIGS. So they don't understand how a project like this takes time & patients. They're just trying to live vicariously thru you. Heck most of us guys couldn't even afford, Just ONE of those MTR's.
Take Your Time, & The ones that understand will Stop by to see how everything is coming together.
Be Safe, & Enjoy your New & Improved "TOY".

Real Clean Buildup and 4Runner

Hey guy
great job!! I'll be wheeling out that way from Idaho this summer in my 85 Pickup. My destination is Springfield and will be wheeling the back roads to and from there.
This PPB is a great source of information and "opinions". Wheel your stuff with your family and have fun. I'm jealous as well as 99% of the wheelers here of your talents and time spent on your rig.
Keep up the good work.
Just think, you don't need a GOOFY snorkle for water crosings:smokin:
enjoy!

shit i just read through this whole post in one sitting with dial up and now i feel like i got the shaft. not even a pic of the rig posed off the tar. i guess im gonna have to hang in there for another month or by your calculations 2-3 months. can't wait/

Geez people! How many times does he have to say it's not done yet? And that it won't be done for a while? Why is that so difficult to understand?

Is it done yet?...
Cool Cruiser--an 80 on portals! Hmmmmmmmm. Just needs some 40's!
We need to organize a trail run in the midwest of rigs on portal axles. You have a trip to Moab planned don't you?
