1979 Jeep CJ-7 Project Dana 60 & 14 Bolt 350 SBC New Lower Price $3600
Got relocated for work so the project must go. Jeep is located just south of Chicago. Looking to get $3600 OBO. Willing to separate (within reason).
Here's a quick run-down:
Front Axle: GM Dana 60
• New Spicer 35 spline inner and outer axle shafts
• New Spicer u-joints
• New bearings, races, seals
• New 35 spline drive slugs with retainer plate so you can remove slugs and free-wheel for driving on-road
• New 35 spline Spartan lunch box locker
• 4.56:1 gears
• New GM hubs, GM rotors
• Autozone calipers, pads
• New u-bolts/stud kit
Steering: Offroad Design/ PSC hydro assist
I bought an unused kit from a friend that was for a GM truck/Blazer with a Dana 60, so the kit has the GM truck style steering box that mounts to the outside of the frame. I was going to try to trade/sell the GM box, get the Jeep style, and use the rest of the kit. It came with:
• PSC pump
• PSC reservoir
• Hydraulic assist ram
• Hi-steer arm
• Drag link and new tie rod ends
Also have MORE CJ steering box bracket and brace
Front Suspension
• Bluetorch Fab CJ Dana 60 full width conversion kit (with shackle reversal)
• Rubicon Express RE1445 1.5” YJ reverse eve spring-over leaf springs
Rear Axle: GM 14-bolt full floater
• Has 4:10:1 gears in it now, have set of used 4.56:1 gears with carrier and pinion support
• Removed perches and shock mounts
Rear Suspension
• Have set of Superlift YJ 3.5” lift springs (was going to use them before I switched to full-width axles).
Engine: NEW GM crate 350 250hp/300 ft-lb part #10067353
• Holley TBI intake manifold
• New harmonic balancer
• New flex plate
• New water pump (would have to be changed to reverse rotation if you wanted to use the Camaro/Firebird serpentine pulleys)
• Camaro/Firebird TPI serpentine style accessory brackets/pulleys
• Used TBI distributor with new rotor
• Used throttle body
• TBI harness and computer from GM van (I was thinking of buying a Painless harness)
• Exhaust manifolds
• MORE motor mounts
Transmission: 700R-4
• Out of 1989 Suburban, rebuilt with new torque converter
Miscellaneous:
• Energy Suspension leaf spring bushings
• Extra hood, windshield glass, 3 doors (one set with old style handles and one with newer paddle style)
• SB Chevy conversion radiator
I'm sure there's more I've forgotten, please PM with any questions
