Thinking about trading the front axel I've got for the MJ buggy I'm building, front clearances are really tight and the angled cover on these are making it difficult for my geometry to work out.

Specs

5.38s
Full Detroit
4340 shafts with CTMs
Ball joint f-450 outers drilled to 8x6.5
High steer arms with studs and cone washers
1350 yoke with billet u joint caps
35 spline inner and outer with drive slugs

Everything is zero mileage, I just took it all apart, resealed, greased and repainted everything bc it's been sitting in storage for a few years. Axle tubes are stripped and ready for whatver brackets you want to put on. I'd like to trade for a 78-79 KP ford or fabricated 9" built to similar specs. Axle is full width with new brakes as well.

Tubes are cleaned up now, just surface rust from the humidity.

Local sale preferred obviously, but I can make to to KCMO, Little Rock and anywhere in between within reason.

I can get more pics if needed.

Last chance bump before I start putting brackets on it in the next few weeks. Just ordered a ruff stuff front diff cover I'd throw in for the right trade.

I'd need to get out of it what it would cost for me to build a fab 9 front. Which for what I want I figure would cost at minimum 6500. Not counting all my time building and sourcing parts, or any shipping.

It would cost 7500 to build this RJ60

The TJ is coming along nicely. I'm so torn about the axles on it though. I know 37s will destroy what's in there. But building 1 tons isn't really ideal either if I'm not stretching and all that. Full width axles and close to stock wheel base probably wouldn't work too well. I'm trying really hard to keep it road worthy. I have plan to drive it to moab and wheel a few days and drive it home around my 30th bday.

I've been kicking around building 61-63" wide 8 lug 60s or a rear 60 and front ford 9 so I can keep the suspension virtually the same because it really does work well. Followed a guy on 40s at k2 last year and made it through an obstacle he wouldn't even try all on 35s. I'm just seeing how it evolves from here now that the cage is petty well taken care of and the whole family harnesses now.

I hope someone picks this up from you so your Mj can continue. I've been following all along.

You're having the exact delema I had when I sold it to you. Works too well like it is to cut apart, but want to go bigger.

And the MJ will continue with it, I've got it all worked out and I'm pretty close to putting the final brackets on it. Just figured I'd throw it up here one more time before I'm fully committed.
