I have a 99 tj and going to be lifting it 7.5 rubicon express arb's. I have a 02 chevy 14 bolt that I would like to use and then throw a d44 in front. Now how would the drivability be affected. I want to be able to drive my jeep around town. Would extra weight be a problem, of course it would gear.

The axles will be the least of your problems. With 7.5" of lift, I'd strongly recommend some additional wheel base. That thing'll be really squirley that tall as short as TJ's are.

The weight of the axles won't put much drag on the vehicle. OTOH, bigger tires will necesitate much deeper gears. I'm assuming you're going pretty big with that axle. Anything less than about a 38 will be hoing rows on most trails.

I have a 00' TJ with a Waggy 44 front and a D60/Detroit rear, 5.5" RELA that I 4-linked and maybe 1-2" of extra wheelbase. Both axles are stock Waggy width with 4.56, I have the stock 4.0, auto, and 37" MTRs. I drive mine daily with a 186 mile roundtrip commute every third day to the fire station and 195,000 miles on the Jeep. I still love driving it and not looking forward to getting a DD but gas prices has me looking at a little Tacoma. Its doable but then again in my 12 years of driving I have owned a built YJ and this TJ so Jeeps is all I know. Just remember its a Jeep and not a Caddy.

I run 7.5" RE coils on an unlimited stretched in the front 1.5"s and 42's. I am actually about to put the 5.5's back in it to get my COG back down, as stated above the RE 7.5's are ridicoulously tall!!!!!!!

I think so. I will try to get some pictures up when I get home but it will be a few days. All my pictures are on my home computer. And with my 5.5" lift and 37"s with minimal trimming and a 4-link I flex pretty good without getting into the metal. Good enough for the springs to come out and add a limiting strap.

I am running RE5.5's in the front and the 4.5" in the rear, sits almost level. 37" MTR's with 2" spacers on each side. Fronts will just kiss the Hood (no front fenders), the rear i am using the bumpstops that came with the Kit origionally.
