I was thinking about picking some up, but then got to thinking... How often will I really use them? So those of you that have the dimple dies, how often do you get some good use out of them? I know I can make all sorts of cool stuff on Buggies, but how abuot a full bodied cruiser? I guess you can make a truss, and some rockers, but that seems to be where it stops.

What have you guys built with dimple dies.

I have had a set for about 5 years. I rairly use them but with that said they are a very handy tool to have when you need them. Great way to add some rigidity to light material and make it weigh less. Also nice to put that finishing look on something.
I may not use them much but when I need them I am glad I have them.

On my bodied rig I did exactly like you described. Gussets underneath, gastank skid, even my winch mount which will be almost hidden under my bumper. It gives it a nice finished look and I especially like it when they are in places where you don't really notice them unless looking close. Its nice to use 1/8 in places where i might of used 3/16 or 1/4 in the past. With a good set of hole saws and a small press they are really quick to do as well

I think they are just one of those tooling that are a must have if you are a small business or just a handy home builder.
I use mine quite regularly on customers rigs but they can be used to bling up even your own work area, oil trays, shelving, just about anything. The other thing is you can use the dimple dies on your rig for things like gas & water holders, roof rack, etc. It is really only limited by your imagination
