any drivetain store or offroad shop...they are around 40 bucks if im not mistaken and it needs to be pressed in

 

have you tried finding one at the double cardigan rebuild kit store?

 

The double cardigans are really nice in the winter. Soft and toasty warm.


Any driveline shop should have what you need, but be prepared for them to laugh heartily at you first.

did find the centering ball... the kragen autozone pep boys in my area suk... or i should say their people do.... oh thanks for the correction.... "double cardan".... got it... has anyone seen the rubber sleeve or dust boot that is on theirs (tj)?.... they keep telling me their isnt one but i beg to differ because there is still reminents of it located on mine... and im not talking about the seal for the centering ball... any more help greatly appreciated.... could have paid the driveline shop to do it but whats the fun in that... i mean then i wouldnt get to remove my skid to drop the driveline and spend time all greasy and cussing :mad3: at the dam thing. whats not to love!

maybe if i wrap the drive shaft in double cardigans it will muffle the screaching noise enough to not bother me. :flipoff2:

 

yes, mine has the rubber boot and i never drop the skid to change mine so i dont have all that trouble

 

re dont remove the skid

u have a helluva long 1/4" drive extension or am i missing something about that comment?

DOUBLE CARDAN :flipoff2:

I need help finding the dust boot that fits over the intersection of the two yokes where the centering ball and spring is & no its not the seal for the centering ball its an actual DUST BOOT. if anyone has any part #s for this let me know. napa says it doesnt exist along with all the other shops in town even though they see part of it still stuck to the DC joint.....
