I will finally be getting around to installing my fuel cell this weekend and am looking for some people's opinions on whether I should run my stock pump with a fuel cell ring or an external pump. I have read about both..

with an external pump will i be starved for fuel at extreme angles? are there any issues with the yj fuel pump if i decide to go that route?

any opinions from people who have used this cell would be great.

I use an E2000 pump; an older AMC V-8 coil bracket makes a nice holder for the pump and makes it easy to mount. I run two Walbro pickups in the tank and have never starved for fuel.

I had an issue when the blue fuel pickup hose that comes in the tank came off after bumping around on the trail. I should have replaced it when I put the pickups in, because I had read about a few people having an issue with it; instead I got to redo it with a 2/3's full tank of fuel on the trail.

I run an e2000 pump and that exact cell, other than when I have had less than a gallon of gas I have never starved for fuel and I did no modifications to the cell. I would advise you to go this route instead of adapting your stock pump, its just much easier...
