Bolts are fine as long as it is just the cap on that side. Most stockers just have bolts on the cap side anyways.
Studs are required for the additional strain of the high steer arm.

 

If you can't find any studs, let me know, I have the factory ones with the nuts that Im not using since I went to longer studs, they are used but free...

 

not sure what axle you're talkin about, but partsmike.com has a ton of studs and other odds and ends

 

jsut use the bolts that come in the kingpin kit.

 

you can get the studs from gm, the pn is in the bible.

if you still cant get them i have some in a drawer.

the rebuild kit I got is just bushings, nothing fancy. i got some grade 8's from the hardware store today.

man, I'm having a hard time with this cut and turn, to my surprise its much harder than the dana 44, apparently these knuckles are pressed on, and you need some serious heat to move them. I'm thinking about just running it the way it is, maybe shimming it 4 degrees or so, and hope it doesn't affect the steering too badly. its an offroad only rig anyways.

 

You can use Grade 8 on everything else. Hell, everything on the 60 is 8 anyway.

 

well, cut the cast perch today, and rewelded the inner c's, got the housing ready to bolt in, should get that done tomorrow and hopefully have the rig back on its wheels and ready to measure for a new driveshaft. this will be my first rig with tons, so I'm pretty excited for it.
