So I bought a 24ft Enclosed goosneck, Pace brand for 3k a couple month ago knowing it needed a little work. Well of course with everything in life and my bad luck the trailer needs a lot more work than i thought.

Has anyone ever rebuilt an enclose trailer? The walls are rotted off the bottom, and the top of the by the door is broken. Im going to reweld the door problem, and redo the plywood on the floor. Any suggestions for the walls? Any other tips and tricks.

either take it apart and put it back together, or take it apart and scrap it.

second option sounds a LOT better if the walls are rotted off the frame.

Heres a Pace 20' extra tall trailer that I rehashed. Wasnt any damage to it other than hail damage on one side. Someone ordered it with 3500 lbs axles. So I swapped in 5k lbs axles and tore up the floor, added some rectangular tubing inbetween the manufacturers flimsy supports. So now they were 12" OC instead of 24". Then laid down new 3/4" plywood and undercoated the bottom side instead of using a cheap layer of paint like the manufacturer does. Used it to haul around my EB for a while then traded it for a Honda VTX1800.

Anyone still following/reading this thread?

I'm rebuilding a 1976 Travel Trailer pop-up camper that was converted to an enclosed trailer before I got it. I redid the rear of it in 2012 when I got it by rebuilding the back or it with a ramp to use it as a toy hauler.

Now I need to rebuild it again as the bottom portion that's the pop-up camper is rotted to hell.

I have no idea what material to use as I don't know how to weld or have a pneumatic rivet gun. But pressure treated 2x10's and pressure treated plywood come to mind but I have a feeling that it will be too heavy for the trailer frame. ANY suggestions?

Also, what's a good price for the 49 inch sheets for the sides of trailers? Local metal suppliers only have 48 inch sheets listed on their pdf file but no prices.

Thanks for any help.
