Im running RE 2.5'' Extreme Duty's and i think they are the softest spring rate without going to full custom springs. They ride great on and off the trail. Awesome articulation and cushy ride. Wrap easily though, highly recommend a traction bar on any springs in SOA config.

What kind of modifications are required on a YJ to clear the gas tank when running waggy springs?
Self clearance :D BAM BAM BAm BAm Bam Bam bam bam...nothing

Actually, I think it is going to be damn close. It looks like it will barely clear. I havent had it out yet, I still have a couple things to do (upgrade master cylinder, fix tcase leak). I think I may look into getting a Kilby skid which will raise the gas tank 1" which certainly cant hurt. Btw, I am running 36" TSLs on 15x8 wheels. As soon as I can find some MTRs that is what I will be running.

Well I'll be interested to know how they work for you once you get those other things taken care of. I suppose that the kilby skid and some bumpstops would solve the probelm. If not then it's a good excuse to get a fuel cell and then be ready for the next stage of bigger axles and tires...

I recomend waggy springs. They will give you a little more lift than stock springs, they ride better than stock springs, flex better, give you a couple inches of wheelbase, and give you a better shackle angle which means more flex. The only drawback to waggies that I can think of is bending the spring. I guess because they are so thin. But all around they are a good spring. :)

I had 1st gotten the YJ rears to put up front but they ended up sagging real badly, almost to the point of a negative arch, and I had not even gotten out to wheel them yet. I ended up putting on my old cj rears up front and they held up (KINDA) for 2 runs but they are showing signs of fatigue. I hear the RE SOA springs are the chit, so they will be my next spring I go to.

For anyone running springs that have sagged out quick and those that have lasted, did you put dropped bump stops to prevent negative arch? If so how much drop?

Dude, it all depends on what size spring you have on, a flat spring is going to require less of a bump stop that a spring with a lift.

Ok, thanks Hiapo, I'll specify, same question with stock yj to 1.5" lift springs. What size bump stops have people used? This is assuming 35-36" tires as well. I could put my sh*t together and measure... but I would rather not reinvent the wheel on something this basic.
