Suppressor Choice Question

BIG BORES... Everyone's favorite

Plan is to have a lever action 44 mag 16"ish length and a 10.5" 458 socom

The 458 would only ever be subsonic loads cuz hunting supers in a short barrel is dumb and loud

I'm kinda a SiCo fanboi so here are my choices

SiCo. Hybrid 46 @ 17oz (not rated for less than 16" but it may have been tested with less than 16")
Liberty Goliath @ 20oz (rated for 458 in all flavor)
Rugged Obsidian 45 @10oz (not rated for less than 16" but I'll have to call about sub sonics)

Thoughts ?

So, I did a brief search, and what I found said that the Bushwacker meters better for rifle rounds, and the Hybrid is better for pistol rounds.

I have been thinking about buying a suppressor for my .450 Bushmaster upper, but I really do not need one. Still tempting though.

There is also the Griffin Bushwacker 46 you should look at.

I have that one in jail right now waiting on my tax stamp. It's going on a 45-70 (Marlin)

this is an interesting question. The hybrid 46 is a jack of all trades, master of none.

if i was going to shoot 458 and your 44 mag, id go Liberty Goliath.

They claim its 6 dBs quieter on 458 socom than the Hybrid 46 and they test it subsonic on an 11". I think id call Liberty and have a talk with them about supers/subs, barrel lengths, and sub-calibers.

The only thing impressive to me about the Hybrid 46 is its range of calibers. But im also the guy whose about to drop some serious money on a TBAC 338Ultra SR because i like purpose built cans.

yeah i'm not too keen on the SiCo hybrid and have been leaning towards the Goliath.. Just gotta see which option will be the easiest to get my hands on..

The way liberty makes their cans, I bet teh goliath would work for 338

anyone got a bump on the NFA wait times?
