That was my mistake too. I had 2 whole boxs of the 987a in my garage for over a year because I decided to purchase the 987b and use it. I really dig the 987b color as it doesn't look as light. just a better looking olive drab color in my opinion.

I ended up using the 987a on a trailer I had.

either way I'm sure it'll look bitchin.

This is such an inspiration. You are a great Dad!
I was going to offer you two full boxes of 987A . When I called Aervoe they told me the only difference between A and B was A was flat and B was semi gloss. It sounds to me the person I talked to a customer service didn't know what she was talking about :shaking:. OK, B is still flat but darker, correct?

both are still flat colors. A is wierd; it's kinda like a dusty primer. B seems to be a darker color and isn't so dusty. it's a nice paint

here is the 987b's color
(dumb looking quad, sorry)

sorry for the lousy examples. hope it helps

let me know if I can help on any auto part needed. I get parts cheap

I know some of you are not going to like these bump stops, but it's the best I could come up with. You are welcome to make suggestions, but sorry, this is what we are going with.
I came up with about eight different configurations and they all had something that wasn't right about them. This way seemed to be the cleanest way.

What's so not to like? I assume if you had put a simple pad on top of the truss that the coilover would have hit the air bump... so that's no bueno. I say run it

I think it looks nice and clean, I'd just be worried it wouldn't hit the pad when the axle is articulated...

Yeah, luckily Jason crossed the upper and lower links pretty good, so hopefully there isn't a lot of lateral movement when in contact with the stops.
I should get the cans tacked in tomorrow and will check to make sure everything stays in the zone before I burn it all in.

i like the creativity JR but it doesnt seem like something jason would do. thats just my opinion. even though the weld and tube strength seem strong enough i just see the tube collapsing for some reason. i used my paint skills:p for another idea for you to ponder over.

box em in with internal gussets. i didnt add those figuring of you did want to try those out you would make the gussets to fit the situation the best.

been there too many times - ouch - i feel your pain

and i like the bumps - i might steal that idea for my rig

I like the bumpstops, as long as they stay aligned. How thick is that tube on the pads?

Marilyn doing the eye check and what she found.
Just a little burn, nothing to remove.
Did that about a year ago... 5" grinder threw a fragment into my retina, but it didn't come out. It was really small, didn't think anything of it the first night...
but it was enough to cut up the inside of my eyelid so that 48 hours after the incident I couldn't even open my eye. Outpatient surgery fixed it, shit buffed right out :flipoff2:

Yeah, hurts like a bitch. I wear a full face shield now, no more incidents as of yet.

I did that too. I wiped my face with a rag and got some grinding dust in my eye after I was done. They got it out in at the ER but I had to go back the next day and have them grind the rust out of my eye with a medical dremel tool.

I would rather have the piece in my eye than have it buffed again, that shit sucked.

Keep up the good work JR

Dik

JR, everything is looking great except your eye; but it does look like Marilyn has the right equipment and has done this before. Watch that eye and take care of yourself. Must go, have to drive to LA for meeting.
